A 20,000-square-foot residency, workspace, and events institution in Greenpoint, at the intersection of art and frontier technology.

Welcome to The School. We're under construction right now. Expect rough edges, half-finished corners, and the occasional thing that doesn't quite work yet. Bear with us, and treat the room the way you'd want to find it.

Site notes

§ 04 · How we share this space
i. How to get inThe front door is open 9 AM – 9 PM. After hours, please message one of the contacts (see § 02) and someone will come down to let you in.
ii. It is brand newWe're under construction, so some things won't work yet. If you move furniture, please lift, don't drag.
iii. Leave No TraceWe have a cleaner once a week, but if you leave trash out, someone in the program ends up cleaning up after you. Please don't put that burden on them. Trash bins and cleaning supplies are stationed in every room, so grab them whenever you need.
iv. Respect the art and techArtists and technologists share this space. The artwork around you was graciously donated to live here. Please leave it where you find it, and treat it with care.
v. On the roofYou're welcome up on the roof. Please stay on the green playground area, inside the fence. The rolled-back section by the door is unsafe to cross.
vi. Convent Residency next doorNext door, connected through a door on the top floor, is a residency where people live. Please respect that boundary and only head over when accompanied by a resident. Keep voices to a whisper in the hallways after 10 PM, since people are sleeping.
